Honest Scrap

It is an honor to be nominated; I would like to thank the great academy of dogs and of course Baby Rocket Dog and Hootie who had the wisdom to see my greatness even amidst my newness here in blog land. Also Lucia, one of the most beautiful ladies I have EVER seen, who tagged me for this award as well. I have been meaning to participate in her “Bernard Pivot interview” since she showed up on the scene, so I will include that today as well. Please know that I will carry this great icon with pride and pass it along to other pups out there who are also worthy of this great notoriety.

Official Rules:
Here are the instructions: "When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to said person so everyone knows he or she is real. Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including bloggers who have no idea who you are because you don’t have 7 friends. Show the 7 random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with “Honest Scrap" weblog. Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon. List at least ten honest things about yourself. Then, pass it on!"

10 – I am a shower timer. When I think a shower has gone on too long, I stick my head in the tub and start licking legs until the person gets out. I am a protector of pruney fingers.

9- I like to wake up at about 1:15 AM and rough house till about 2:30. If mom doesn’t let me off the bed I will just whine for the whole hour and 15 till I fall asleep again.

8- Two nights ago I pushed Errol-kitty off the couch. I had been sniffing at him and quit for a few min. I just sat there and waited till he got all relaxed and settled, then I reached out, and I pushed him! He had this great look of surprise on his face and he made a very satisfying thump. I know it was wrong, and I shouldn’t have done it, but it was AWESOME! I would totally do it again.

7- One time I made my grandma laugh till she cried. Mom had forgotten to warn Grandma about the TP roll and I found it. I redecorated grandma’s living room.

6- When mom goes to the basement I think she has disappeared and will never come back. It’s not rational, she has come back every other time, but I worry. Even when I see her go through the basement door I will check the rest of the house to see if she has popped up somewhere.

5- One time I got Errol-kitty stuck to my face. It’s embarrassing but true. Mom had to come over and detach his “fist of furry” from me cheek. There was nothing I could do, I had been defeated.

4- I always call shot-gun in the truck. If you aren’t a US puppy this means I get to ride in the front passenger seat, because that’s where they carried the shot gun to protect the stagecoach in the wild west days.

3- If they make me ride in the back of the truck, I will chew on my mom’s hair until the ride is over.

2 - I love pit bulls. My best buddy at my first home was one and they are my favorite doggy friends to play with at the park. They get such a bad rap!

1 – I am afraid of my reflection in the bedroom window. Don’t tell anyone ok, it’s humiliating. Every time I turn around and see that ferocious dog looking back at me I give it the “back off” bark, then I realize, and I’m ashamed.

Now I will tag some other fantastic furry friends.
1 - Ludo - Because he does such a good job of teaching Otto the ropes. Everyone could use a big brother like that!
2 - Ruby - Because chic's with tool belts are enough to make this good dog break his leash!
3 - Faya - Even though I can only understand half of what she types I can see she does a great job with her two Mini-Me's.
4 - Poppy, Penny & Patches - They have done a great job recently coming through a tough loss. R.I.P. Pokey the Lion.
5 - Ezzy Rider and Jagger - Who are taking excellent care of their Dad.
6 - Amy - I am hoping to hear more about Uncle Max. He looks fierce.
7 - Asta - I am breaking form here but I have a soft spot for those wire guys, also, any dog who has a picture of a Koala drinking from a water bottle on their blog gets a place in my heart!

Bonus portion, especially for Lucia, my beautiful beginner blogger buddy.

  1. Diggers, mio amico!

Those are some exceptionally splendid answers to both the Honest Scrap and the Bernard Pivot activities. Mia ragazza is laughing so hard that I'm going to have to nosepoke her to get her to stop so she can get busy with putting my supper in my bowl.

Splendido, magnifico - there aren't enough words!

    Tanti baci!
