One Long Weekend

Saturday was such a long day. First we ran around in the back yard for about an hour. It was nice and sunny so I got to bring my toys outside.
Then we went to the dog park, and I got really muddy, and we met an Airedale that is 100 pounds. That’s like 4 Digsby sized dogs all in one! Mom was talking to his dad for a long time so I just took a little lay down in a mud puddle since I had to wait for them. When we got home mom decided that I was way too dirty to hang out with. I thought I was perfect myself. Anyway, she gave me a shower.
I made sure to get her at least as wet as she got me, it’s only fair. So then I had to do some post shower laps around the house. I was getting really worn out because I had already done laps in the backyard and laps in the park. Just when I thought it was time to rest Duncan stopped by and wanted to go to the park to. So off I go to the park, twice in one morning, I am the luckiest dog ever. Duncan is a big guy but pretty fun to play with. Mostly he picks on me but sometimes I get him back. Look at how terrified he is off me in this shot!
Duncan had to go to a wedding shower so I thought I would finally get to take a little nap. I had only been asleep for about 20 min when my Mom wakes me up and loads me in the truck. I had no idea where we were going. I just wanted to go back to sleep until we arrived at my Cousins house! MONSTER DOG PLAY TIME! Woo Hoo! Soooo Fun. I was thinking about going home until mom’s cell phone rang. Back in the truck and off to another new place. We went to see the human baby Liam. He was kind of boring, all he did was sleep and gurgle but the people seemed to like him. I was much more interested in Liam’s kitty siblings Nokki and Nitty. I have a Kitty brother named Errol.
He is a fancy pants and gets to eat on the table.
Whenever I try to play with him he just ignores me. I like to put my big puppy paw on top of him and try to smoosh him in-between the couch cushions. It’s one of my favorite games but he doesn’t like to play that much.
He is all grumpy because his favorite human (he calls them slaves) is gone for a whole month, and slave number two likes me better. He will get over it. As you can imagine by the time I got home on Saturday I was pooped out! We slept in till 10 am on Sunday and after I woke up I went straight into a nap. When mom isn’t in bed I like to sleep in her spot to keep it warm for her.
Later on Sunday I got bored with my nap so I decided to switch things up a little and sleep the other way.
I couldn’t tell you if I liked playing all day or sleeping all day better but it was one awesome weekend! I’ve got puppy class tonight so I’ve got to go practice my ignoring skills, I’ll leave you with a picture of my favorite thing. This is my squeaky ball.

  1. Wow,you had a busy weekend.Lots of canine buddies to visit. You are lucky. Our(hooman)granddad told Daddy that he can bring us over to his & Ouma's house to play in their yard any time. That cheers us because Granddad is 85yrs old and was attacked by a neighbors pitbull last year (while he was feeding 7 watering the ingrate!).He was pretty badly mauled on his legs and hand & has been kind of jittery around big dogs since then. I guess they want visitors so figure that way Dad & Mom will come over more often. Yippee! XOXO-BRD & Hootie

  2. Hey, man.

You have one filled social calendar, man! No wonder you're a napping fiend! I particularly liked the photo of you standing by the table watching your princess of a catbro eat up on top. (My catbro, Merv, is a bit of a princess too.)

Your last 2 puppy pics look amazingly like mine. I'm a little taller than an Airedale is supposed to be, but I'm svelte and weigh in at 85 lbs. How big do you think you're gonna be?

Hope your ignoring skills are coming along!

    Goob love,
    Stanley

  4. BR-Dog & Hootie - I'm so glad you will get to go over to the Gran's house. I'm sure you two will be the best ambassadors of good will us dogs could hope for. You can love those jitters right out of your granddad in no time!

Stanley – I hope that if our puppy pictures look the same that means that when I grow up I get to be as handsome as you! Who knows how big I’ll get? My paper said that way back when there was an Oorang in the family, and I was kind of a tank among the other puppies. Mom said she doesn’t want me to get too big but I think the bigger the better! Right now I’m 15 weeks old and I’m about 28 pounds.
