Changed My Mind

After an incident last night with one of the new cats I have changed my mind. You may remember than in the past I was pro-cat. I was also determined to make any cat love me; I even felt that with time I would be able to turn even an anti-dog cat to my side. Well, one of the cats (let’s just call him fluffy booger eyes because I don’t think he deserves a name) attacked me. He charged right up the stairs towards me. Now don’t panic, his little puny kitty claws couldn’t penetrate my impressive Airedale Armor of fur but it still upset me. Even this wasn’t enough to put me off cats. I still believed we could be friends but then Fluffy Booger Eye’s did something that, in my world, is UNFORGIVABLE. My mom stepped between us and that cat… that miserable smelly tiny fur-ball licker took a few whacks at MY MOM!
SO
I revise my previous feelings about cats. My new opinion is this, “Cats are bite sized and should be Chased, Caught, and Disposed of.”

Crime!

I haven't had much to say recently.
Honestly I didn’t really know how to face you all. I still don’t, I guess I’ll just come out and say it.
Someone has stolen my family jewels. They were there when I fell asleep and then, when I woke up, they were gone. It’s like those stories you hear about waking up in a bathtub full of ice. I’m ashamed, embarrassed, but mostly I’m determined to go on. I’m not going to let this ruin all the fun that is yet to come (even if it did ruin my chances of living off the stud fees).
Mom said I have to stay kind of mellow this week. She said maybe my gonads weren’t stolen, maybe they just fell off cause I was playing too hard or something. I don’t think this is true, because I was really attached to them, so I know they were attached to me too! Just in case I’m going to take it easy. I’ve got a lot of other parts that I like, and a puppy dog can never be too careful. I was down in the dumps for about 12 hours before I returned to my normal sunnier disposition. This down time helped in my quest to become Errol’s best Buddy in the world (or third best). What your about to see (If mom can show me how to upload videos) isn’t the most amazing cat dog love-fest you’ve ever seen, but it is the most amazing cat dog love-fest we’ve had in our household so far.

"Insert video that won't work here"
Ok I don't think the video will work (Processing forever) and I'm not willing to sign up on youtube just to post a video here, so follows is a description of what you would have seen.

Me eating food from my food bowl, and Errol drinking water from MY waterbowl. AT THE SAME TIME. Right next to eachother. AND THEN... Errol leaves the room and I just watch him go. I didn't chase him and he didn't run. amazing simply amazing.

Of course, we are hoping that Bogart gets to see his dad healthy and at home very soon.

One Long Weekend

Saturday was such a long day. First we ran around in the back yard for about an hour. It was nice and sunny so I got to bring my toys outside.
Then we went to the dog park, and I got really muddy, and we met an Airedale that is 100 pounds. That’s like 4 Digsby sized dogs all in one! Mom was talking to his dad for a long time so I just took a little lay down in a mud puddle since I had to wait for them. When we got home mom decided that I was way too dirty to hang out with. I thought I was perfect myself. Anyway, she gave me a shower.
I made sure to get her at least as wet as she got me, it’s only fair. So then I had to do some post shower laps around the house. I was getting really worn out because I had already done laps in the backyard and laps in the park. Just when I thought it was time to rest Duncan stopped by and wanted to go to the park to. So off I go to the park, twice in one morning, I am the luckiest dog ever. Duncan is a big guy but pretty fun to play with. Mostly he picks on me but sometimes I get him back. Look at how terrified he is off me in this shot!
Duncan had to go to a wedding shower so I thought I would finally get to take a little nap. I had only been asleep for about 20 min when my Mom wakes me up and loads me in the truck. I had no idea where we were going. I just wanted to go back to sleep until we arrived at my Cousins house! MONSTER DOG PLAY TIME! Woo Hoo! Soooo Fun. I was thinking about going home until mom’s cell phone rang. Back in the truck and off to another new place. We went to see the human baby Liam. He was kind of boring, all he did was sleep and gurgle but the people seemed to like him. I was much more interested in Liam’s kitty siblings Nokki and Nitty. I have a Kitty brother named Errol.
He is a fancy pants and gets to eat on the table.
Whenever I try to play with him he just ignores me. I like to put my big puppy paw on top of him and try to smoosh him in-between the couch cushions. It’s one of my favorite games but he doesn’t like to play that much.
He is all grumpy because his favorite human (he calls them slaves) is gone for a whole month, and slave number two likes me better. He will get over it. As you can imagine by the time I got home on Saturday I was pooped out! We slept in till 10 am on Sunday and after I woke up I went straight into a nap. When mom isn’t in bed I like to sleep in her spot to keep it warm for her.
Later on Sunday I got bored with my nap so I decided to switch things up a little and sleep the other way.
I couldn’t tell you if I liked playing all day or sleeping all day better but it was one awesome weekend! I’ve got puppy class tonight so I’ve got to go practice my ignoring skills, I’ll leave you with a picture of my favorite thing. This is my squeaky ball.

Monster Saturday with the Monster Dogs

This weekend was mostly awesome. On Friday I went over to Moose’s house so my Mom could go play with her friends. It’s taken a few visits but Moose is starting to warm up to me.
I don’t mind all the barking and he has a really cool monster toy that shakes and makes crazy noises when you drop it on the ground. So I dropped it on the ground a lot. That night I was so pooped that we slept in the next morning.
I think I’ve decided that the best thing about having a people family is having a people bed too! When we finally got up we had to go to the doctor’s office. I wasn’t too sure about going in there so I stuck close to mom. Once we were in the little green room things seems to be going ok,
until they stuck me with a needle. I was kind of pissed about this, as you can imagine, but the Doc gave me this chewy raw hide thingy so I said we could still be friends.
Just when I thought the whole thing was over and we had resolved everything peacefully that Doctor grabbed my face and squirted some type of juice right in my nose hole! Well. I wasn’t going to stand for this! My Mom explained that it had to be done so I could go to the dog park. This didn’t mean anything to me until she explained what a dog park was and gave me another chewy thing.
I was still a little miffed but I felt better about it, at least they weren’t being mean for fun.

After the doctors we stopped by to see my cousins the Monster Dogs. I’ve never met them before this weekend but I had a picture of them on the fridge. This made up for the whole nose squirt thing and now we are totally square! My cousins are a special breed of monsters that are designed to look like dogs.

The little one is called Mojo, the Rottweiler
and the big one is called Sultan, the Bull Mastiff.

I’ve never met any other monsters before but my mom said that they are even bigger than normal monster dogs. When I first met them their sheer size was so overpowering my teeny tiny bladder couldn’t take it. Mom figured this would happen so she made me wait to meet them in the front yard. They were so scary I had to learn to play with them one at a time at first. Once I got to know them they weren’t scary AT ALL!

The biggest danger I faced was drowning in Sultan slobber,

or falling over dead from having too much fun with Mojo!
Sometimes I would need a time out so I would run over to Steph and Phil to take a break.
Mojo was just the right height to stand on top of, and Sultan was so big that he was still taller than me when he was lying down.
When he stood up I could walk right underneath him and barely had to duck my head.

Sometimes when I was annoying Mojo too much Sultan would come over and just pin me against his chest. Most dogs would pin you to the floor but not Sultan the monster dog, he would just hold me between his chin and chest with no problem what-so-ever. I almost fell asleep in the grass I had soo much fun. I can’t wait to go over there again!

Sunday was really chill. It was so chill that we don't have any pictures from it. Mom got a new truck battery so she can drive me to my first puppy class tonight, and then we just watched the game. Just a normal day loafing around. I’ll let you know all about my first day at school just as soon as I get the chance! Mom said there are going to be other puppies, I’m soo excited!

A Visit with the Diamond Dogs

Last night I got to go to Mom’s friend Matt’s house. He has two French Bull Dog’s and they are named Karat and Nugget, just like a diamond. I don’t have pictures of them but this is how they looked.
Karat is white and Nugget is very dark brindle.

When I walked in the front door they came charging at me together. They really know how to work together to be intimidating! They make such a good team, that I was so frightened, I peed on the floor and tried to climb up my Mom’s leg. My mom (unlike me) is a believer in tough love and wouldn’t pick me up! She just kept ignoring me and petting the other dogs! Once I got over the initial shock I had lots of fun playing with them! So much fun that sometimes Tracie would have to make me calm down and hang out with her. There were lots of people there to pet me but mostly they were watching the TV. Eventually I got bored so I started “looking for trouble” as my mom says. Really I was just trying to have some fun and decided to chomp on mom’s sneakers to stay occupied! I was on my almost best behavior all night and I hope I get to go back again soon! Next time I’ll make sure Mom brings the camera.
I really like living at my new house and I think it’s time I started pulling my weight around the place. I’ve already helped redecorate the upstairs hall with the stuffing I skillfully retrieved from Mr. Raccoon. Now I would like to be able to help in the kitchen.
I can help with the dishes.

How does this soap dispenser work?
OH! I get it. You put the soap in that little flap thingy.
First we need to do a rinse cycle.
What can I say, I love my people and I love to help.
Until I see you next time,
Love Diggers
